The quest for the perfect fit

We believe that the secret lies in finding the right balance. We are constantly seeking the perfect harmony between ancient artisanal knowledge and continuous technological innovation.

Discover our history

1964

Mr. Aldo Nicoletto, our founder, opens the first workshop in Piazzola sul Brenta (Padua). His goal is to answer to the modern need for "ready-made garments", without abandoning haute couture. He thus opens his doors to the best master craftsmen, in order to offer ready-to-wear garments that respect the canons of traditional tailoring.

1972

For the first time the Belvest collection is presented at Pitti Uomo in Florence, an important showcase that allows us to raise awareness and appreciation for our style concept outside of Italy.

It is in this decade that Belvest clothing begins to journey to the heart of the most beautiful European cities, especially in the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland, followed by Japan, the USA and Canada.

1978

The Made-to-Measure service is born, envisioned for those who, like us, are not satisfied with having to choose between function and elegance, and desire the freedom of wearing an outfit entirely designed to meet their personal needs.

This period is defined by two important innovations that are destined to become the emblems of our concept of a style that is free from constraints: the deconstructed jacket and a new, lightweight canvas that is unparalleled when compared to that of classic tailoring.

1998

The quality and originality of our deconstructed jacket is officially recognized thanks to our patented “JACKETINTHEBOX©” trademark. The deconstructed, unlined jacket concept, designed to be lightweight and always look flawless, over time is applied to suits, coats and dust-coats. It becomes a hallmark of our ability to strike a harmony between tailoring and the desire for an avant-garde look.

2014

To celebrate the first 50 years of our business, we recaptured one of the 1964 jacket patterns from our archive, reinterpreting it with a modern twist, giving it an innovative concept while respecting its sartorial tradition.

We created a special Belvest 50 label to make this piece even more exclusive, which not only commemorates our anniversary, but indicates the original model’s serial number.

Today

While we remain faithful to traditional tailoring, our continuous innovative research leads us to find original solutions that answer to the needs of the modern man, through ingenious materials such as the antibacterial-antiviral fabric, or the study of garments whose forms are feats of engineering.
